Bishop Wojciech Skibicki appointed new Bishop of Elbląg

Bishop Wojciech Skibicki, until now auxiliary bishop of the Diocese of Elbląg, has been appointed diocesan bishop of that diocese. At the same time, the Holy Father accepted the resignation of Bishop Jacek Jezierski from the office of Bishop of Elbląg. The decision of Pope Leo XIV was announced today at noon by the Apostolic Nunciature in Poland.
